VG224 MGCP Fax Problem

Any ideas on intermitten fax problems on a VG224 setup with MGCP? There's only problems when faxing certain numbers. If you dial them with a phone to listen to the exchange you'll get the first beep, but never completes the handshake, it just then goes to a sort of dead air or a soft, solid static sound and then drops. Call the same number from a cell phone or a POTS line and it goes through the whole handshake. Thanks!

Hi Mike,

Try this command:

no mgcp fax-relay sg3-to-g3

or

mgcp fax rate 9600

You're probably calling Super G3 fax machines and the fax machines don't support the SG3 to G3 feature that's enabled by default.
