LMS 3.1 : Processes down for unknown reason...

Hello All,

We've just installed LMS 3.1 on Windows 2003 Server and i've got some issues...

The 5 processes below are down (see screenshot attached LMS31_3.jpg):

DFMCTMStartup

CfmDbMonitor

DFMOGSServer

NOSServer

PTM Server

As a consequence, as you can see in screenshots attached (LMS31_1.jpg and LMS31_2.jpg), DCR server, NOS Server and JRM Servers are down.

However all the Ciscoworks Windows services are started.

Do you have any idea from where the problem is coming from ?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Best Regards,

Adrien BOMBLE

This is bad. The CmfDbEngine process is not registered with Daemon Manager. Your installation is incomplete. I recommend you uninstall LMS from this server, then do the following:

* Set the TEMP and TMP environment variables to short values (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\TEMP).

* Disable anti-virus software and security software (e.g. Cisco Security Agent).

* Configure Windows Data Execution Protection (DEP) to only operate on critical windows system files.

* Login as a local Administrator on the server's console.

* Install LMS 3.1 from scratch with locally mounted original media.

After doing that, you should have a working installation. If there are still problems, post the installation log found in the root of the C drive.

Hello Jclarke,

Thanks a lot for your help. I am doing that asap and i let you know.

Best Regards,

Adrien
