I just passed my ccna, and am trying to determine my next path..I work in Telecom and wonder if the CCNA voice would be best. Or should I continue on towards ccnp. I have good foundation in telecom and voip.

If you are looking at staying within the same company, I would ask around and see which path is more respected within your company.

You also can never go wrong with sticking with the "main" Cisco track and go for the CCNP.

I would stick with whichever gets you more hand-on experience. The hand-on experience is what other companies are looking for and make you a more hire able/promotable person.

Hi mokie2295,

CCNA Voice will soon be a prerequisite for CCVP. It also does cover alot of great topics on the CME/CUE/UC500 Platforms.

I too am in Telecom and just passed the CCNA Voice this week. I thought it was a good exam, and like Justin said, it covers some really good topics. If you have been in Telecom awhile a lot of the questions will be familiar to you.
