As a registered customer with Cisco support, one needs to use the tool at http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/netmgmt/ciscoview/cvcww-download.shtml and follow the prompts to build links your necessary download packages.

The Cisco 3400 ME switch package has not been updated since October 2007, when Version 3.0 was released. but, according to the readme:

"...This Cisco3400ME(3.0) release provides support for the following device of Cisco Metro Ethernet family.

3400 ME-3400-24FS-A - Metro Ethernet 3400, 24 100BaseFX Fast Ethernet and 2 SFP ports fixed configuration Layer 2/3 Ethernet switch

The following device models are supported by this device package,

* cisco ME-3400-24TS-A - Metro Ethernet 3400, 24 10/100 Fast Ethernet and 2 SFP ports fixed configuration Layer 2 Ethernet switch, AC power."

For the Catalyst 6000 series (running CatOS), the latest package is Version 9.1 (May 2008). For the 7000 series routers it is Version 21.0 (June 2006).
