I have a doubt.

When I apply the (service-policy input name) configuration command on a x port in a 3750 switch, i want to know if the access list associated with the service policy if also applied to the normal traffic of the port or only is applied for QoS purpose.

thanks

It wont restrict access through the interface (ie when used with the access-group command), it is as you said, it will just be for QOS usage if used within a service policy.
