Hello,
Does anyone know how to get around the audio of the Sign-In conversation on Unity Connection 7.0 getting chopped off when calling from outside? We have a DID set up for checking voicemail from outside, which is forwarded to Unity via a CTI Route Point on the call manager. On Unity, we map a forwarded call route to the "Sign-In" conversation. Internally, the greeting is heard from the beginning. But if we call the DID, the "Please" portion of the audio (the firs word in the sentece) is cut off. Is there a way to place a delay on the audio, or reconfigur something on the call manager or Unity Connection to get this resolved?
Also, is there a way for users to dial in to check their voicemail from outside and just enter their password as opposed to both UserID and password?
Thanks,
Joseph E.

Joseph,
In system administration, on the ports page, increase the value for "Delay After Answer".
If you add the users cell phone, for example, as an alternate extension, when they call from this number, they will be prompted only for password.
Hope this helps.

Brandon,
I see that option under "Advanced Settings" in the port-group. Do you know what other effects that would have if it's increased? What be a good typical number?
Thanks,
Joseph

Joseph,
The only effect that I'm aware of is that all calls (internal and external) will hear a delay before the greeting. You'll want to use the minimum value that works. Try 1000 milliseconds and then test.
Hope this helps.
