Solved: Trouble archiving Cisco MDS 9124

Hi,

We are having trouble archiving our SAN switch config.

We are using LMS 3.0, is there something I need to change in the configuration?

This device is supported in RME 4.1.1 with MDS package version 5.1. Make sure you have the MDS package properly loaded under Common Services > Software Center > Device Update.

What trouble are you seeing exactly? What errors do you see when trying to run a Sync Archive job against these devices?

Hi thanks for your response.

The error message I am getting is:-

CM0056 Config fetch failed for llswl1san1.internal.uwic.ac.uk Cause: CM0204 Could not create DeviceContext for 1230 Cause: CM0206 Could not get the config transport implementation for 192.168.199.21 Cause: UNKNOWN Action: Check if required device packages are available in RME. Action: Check if protocol is supported by device and required device package is installed.

This points to a missing device package within RME. What version of RME do you have? What is the sysObjectID of this MDS?

Thanks for your help with this.

The version of RME is 4.1.1 the ObjectID is .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.587
