Email service IPCC using Godaddy

Unanswered Question
Mar 5th, 2009

We have IPCC 3.5.2 and I am developing email capability. Our provider is godaddy and all accounts are pointed to this server. My questions is how do I configure e-mail service inside IPCC? Godaddy uses a different port and a username/password also needs to be supplied. The syntax [email protected]:password causes an error. Any suggestions?

I have this problem too.

To my knowledge neither of these are supported. The Administration Guide makes no mention of allowing non-standard ports or SMTP authentication either.

The non-standard port you could achieve by performing a static PAT rule on your firewall to translate 25 into whatever port GoDaddy requires.

As for authentication, I believe you would need to have an internal SMTP relay on another server that accepts unauthenticated connections from UCCX and then relays the mail out to GoDaddy. This would also address the non-standard port issue.
