Presence 7.0

Unanswered Question
Mar 5th, 2009

I changed the IP to DHCP and rebooted now I am unable to log into Presence Admin or Servicablity pages. DATABASE COMMUNICATIONS ERROR. Any suggestions I am hoping I don't have to re-install Presence. I can Log In on the CLI side using the Administrator Login and Password.

I have this problem too.

Wanted it to pickup a reserved IP address other than the IP the BOX intitally was assigned. DNS should not have been enabled that was a mistake. Cahnged it from the Administration GUI - Server IP if I remember correctly. Not at the location currently so I am working from memory.

Like it or not, changing IP address/hostname is the last thing you want to try on Cisco Unified products (CUCM, CER, CUPS, etc.).

It's so easy to break and so difficult to fix.

Each product has its own procedure to change IP address/hostname. For CUPS 7.0, please see:
