I have to upgrade call manager from 4.2 t0 6.1 ... During the Cisco Unified Communications Manager upgrade, it prompt for the user names and passwords for the end user password and PIN

( The system uses this password and PIN to reset the password and PIN for all end users that were configured on the Windows-based Cisco Unified Communications Manager. )

If I have many user that is using personal fast dial address book.. and they are having different username and password to associate the personal address book to each IP phones.... then after the upgrade, the personal address book may probably not working as the username and password are all reset... is there anyway to preserve the setting for the username and PIN for the personal address book after the upgrade? there are so many users and its not possible to manually created them and record the username and password one by one.

any idea?

thanks

Rachel

unfortunately it's expected and documented:

DMA does not export this information:

•Custom Music on Hold (MOH) files-You must reapply these files after you upgrade to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1(2).

•TFTP phone load files-You must reapply these files after you upgrade to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1(2).

•Files on Cisco Unified Communications Manager subscriber servers-Subscriber servers obtain required information from the publisher server as part of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager upgrade process.

•CDR data-Data Migration Assistant does not migrate CDR data except the records in the CAR database. If you generate CDRs after you have run CDR loader in CAR, DMA does not migrate those CDRs. For information on configuring the CAR load schedule before you upgrade, see the Cisco Unified CallManager Serviceability Administration Guide for the version of Cisco CallManager running on your system.

•Bulk Administration Tool Templates-Data Migration Assistant does not export Bulk Administration Tool templates.

•Passwords and PINs-Data Migration Assistant does not migrate passwords and PINs for users.

the code of DMA does not export this and there is no way to tell DMA to do so.
