Hey Everyone,

I have a PRI that is currently down. Here is what my controller shows

0/0/1 is down.

Applique type is Channelized T1

Cablelength is long gain36 0db

Transmitter is sending remote alarm.

Receiver is getting AIS.

alarm-trigger is not set

Soaking time: 3, Clearance time: 10

AIS State:Clear LOS State:Clear LOF State:Clear

Version info Firmware: 20070725, FPGA: 13, spm_count = 0

Framing is ESF, Line Code is B8ZS, Clock Source is Line.

CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 320.

Data in current interval (623 seconds elapsed):

0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations

0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins

0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 623 Unavail Secs

Total Data (last 24 hours)

0 Line Code Violations, 11 Path Code Violations,

5 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 4 Degraded Mins,

9 Errored Secs, 2 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 7085 Unavail Secs

I found this on internet so I opened a ticket with my provider. "Another message you might receive is "receiver is getting AIS." This means the receiver is getting an alarm indication signal (blue alarm). This is a framed or unframed all-ones signal in both SF and ESF formats transmitted to maintain transmission continuity. This is typically seen when the far-end CSU has lost its terminal side equipment.".But I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this with a PRI. If so, am I going down the right path with opening a ticket with my provider? Also, I noticed when I went to the physical device (VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1) and looked at the T1 cards both T1's were reporting a (orange/yellow) alarm, but when I check the second controller it doesn't shows errors and shows "Active" "Multi Frame established" is this second alarm caused by the Vwic2 card and can be ignored?

You are right in reporting a fault to telco.

Disregard lights and only look at show controllers output.
