Historical Reporting Client

Unanswered Question

The Cisco Historical Reporting Client after install cannot connect to the database on the UC520 ? The error produced is "Failed to initialize any database connections. Check the log file for error 5066.  The log file does not show any error 5066 but it does tell me something is wrong with the node_id. The process gets past authentication and seems to fail at the node_id argument line 26.

Have you tested to see if your database is configured correctly on CUE?  What does the output of show ccn reporting historical show?  Can you go into CUE and manually export reports to an FTP server?  This information can help determine where the error lies.

I noticed that my DB usage field is also not being updated correctly.  I'll look into this but since my client works fine I don't think the two problems are related.  Did you configure this in CLI as documented at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel3_1/administr...   ?   What version of CUE is your system currently running, and are you sure that the client you downloaded is correct for that version?  The setup for this contains very few steps so we should be able to get to the bottom of this.

jcabral@mtsolut... Mon, 03/09/2009 - 17:48

Running the latest version for the UC520 Version 3.2. We recently upgraded this UC520 to the latest download. I dont know for certain if I have the correct version of the client I installed 7.0.1. I have read the instructions several times and I felt they same way you did it should be pretty straight forward. I have feeling there is something not right with the latest versions working together ?

jcabral@mtsolut... Tue, 03/10/2009 - 06:09

That was indeed the issue. Once I downloaded the correct version of the client to match the CUE it worked. If I may it would be extremely useful to put this requirement in print, perhaps in the install for the client. I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Thanks!!
