CCIE Security Lab V3.0

Unanswered Question
Mar 6th, 2009

I was not lucky enough to get a lab date before April 20th. Any suggestions as to how to study for the V3.0 test. I have V2.0 material. Can the V3.0 test be immediately a large departure from 2.0 or do they introduce new technology gradually?

I have this problem too.

I ve been told the V3.0 Blueprint really reflects what is going to be evaluated in the exam. New stuffs in summary are GET/Anyconnect VPN, QOS for VPN, sniffing w/ SPAN RSPAN, NAC Framework fundamentals, workaround for blackholes, CPP and the unnumbered ways to avoid attacks. So, once more, they wont ask for you what is not there (by the way, there s no time for deviations beyond the official Blueprint). You probably saw there re much training exercises over only one technology that takes more than 2 or 3 hours.

Thanks God, Cisco does not ask for implementing some new features in the exam as we already set up on the field. Believe buddy, there s much more!

Good luck!
