CUCM 6.1 BLF set-up

I am struggling with setting up BLF

I have looked through the SRND and cannot find how to make this happen.

I have a 7961 with a 7914 attached.

I have configured it for 8 lines.

I went into one of the Lines for one device that I am monitoring and set the line to be on a presence group I created.

I then go to the device that I am using to monitor and set that device to the same presence group and also SUBSCRIBE to the CSS where all the lines are at.

What am I missing or what link can someone share?

Thanks,

Rick

SUBSCRIBE CSS is very similar to regular CSS.

In order to reach (see) the destination, the CSS needs to contain the destination partition.

Does "BlockCSS_US_AllowLongDist" CSS contains "PT_GLOBAL_OnNet" partition?

Thanks!

First of all, avoid using any presence group, per the KISS rule.

Second, identify who's the watcher and who's the watchee.

On the watcher device, you need to configure SUBSCRIBE CSS. On the watchee, you don't.

Reset watcher and watchee devices.

Can you explain the SUBSCRIBE CSS?

I read that in the SRND but it was not very clear to me.

What I did was choose the CSS that is the same CSS for the lines I want to monitor.

Please see screenshots for the example.

Too funny.

I had not seen this yet and this morning created a new CSS just for the BLF and added the PT_GLOBAL_OnNet partition.

I added this to the SUBSCRIBE CSS and it worked.

Thanks!

even though I found it you did post the correct answer so a rating is in order!

Thanks,

Rick
