ADSL config on Ethernet interface

Hi all

Our service provider is giving ADSL connection on Ethernet(RJ45(HWIC-1FE))interface on router side.Is the configuration on the router is same like ADSL ports(RJ11-ATM0/1/0)?.Please advise?

Hello Anvar,

the configuration can be similar if using PPPoE:

the ethernet interface is configured to use the pppoe client feature that can use a dialer interface.

Note:

newer IOS images don't need to use the vpdn to be able to perform PPPoE client.
