Hello Jayesh,

there are limitations in the hardware: where the two STM-1 connected ?

Are two ports in the same SPA or PA in a flexwan ?

for example I see a single channelized STM-1 SPA

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/shared_port_adapters/install_upgrade/6500series/6500sov.html#wp1087158

1-Port Channelized STM-1/OC-3 SPA

155 Mbps

1

155 Mbps

and:

The following are link restrictions for using MLPPP:

-Only T1 or E1 links may be in a bundle.

->>> All links must be on the same SPA.

-A maximum of 12 links may be in a bundle.

so if you try to make a MLPPP with E1 taken from two SPAs it cannot work.

This is an hardware limitation.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

hii,

Thankyou ,but can we do link this way

we are having Enhanced FlexWAN module WS-X6582-2PA card in 7613 so can we put 2 PA-MC-STM1 card in Enhanced FlexWAN module WS-X6582-2PA and then we can multilink each other ?? is this is possible???

Hello Jayesh,

again the answer is no:

it is not possible to bundle two E1 that are in two different channelized Port Adapters:

the reason is that the flexwan has two cpus and cpu0 handles bay 0 and cpu1 handles bay 1.

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7600/install_config/flexwan_config/features.html#wp84027

Restrictions and Usage Guidelines

The following restrictions apply to the Distributed Multilink PPP feature:

>>•All lines in a bundle must reside on the same port adapter.

You should think to use the two E1 as separate indipendent links if you cannot use an ADM to have both E1 on the same channelized STM-1 link.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
