Does anyone know how to turn off the SUP-720 supervisor engine on Cisco 7600 series? I've tried "no power enable module xx" command to turn off line cards, but it didn't work with supervisor engine. Or it's not possible to turn off the SUP manually? Please advice me.

Hello Even,

it is not possible to turn off the supervisor it is needed on the chassis to have it to work.

if your target is to be able to switch off the whole chassis you just need to save the configuration file and you can then turn off the power supplies.

if you have two supervisors on the chassis and you want to move to a single supervisor configuration you can simply extract the second supervisor

Hope to help
