Primus DSL

Hey guys,

not sure if this is the place, and if not feel free to delete or move, or actually if you can point me in the right direction.

As anyone used or run into a company using Primus DSL? And if so what was the quality like?

The reason I ask is that i have deployed 20 881 routers and the only ones that have any down time are the ones with Primus connections. I have a guy that I work with who is a CISCO hater that is trying to blame the routers.

Anyway .. if you have any info that would be most helpful.

I haven't had direct experience with Primus DSL. I dealt with Charter cable on a situation that was nearly identical. I would occasionally lose my IP (dynamic account) and it would never receive a DHCP reply. After running some DHCP debugging, I could see that my DHCP requests were not getting responded to. The tech support kept blaming my Cisco 831. After finally getting to level 3 support, the engineer admitted their DHCP scopes were too small for the number of users they were supporting.

It might be helpful to do some PPP and ATM debugging on the devices with the issues. Perhaps there is something wrong with Primus's DSLAMs that are causing your issues.
