Creating CA server Locally in Cisco ASA

Answered Question
Mar 11th, 2009

Hi

Can anyone tell me the procedure to create CA server locally in cisco ASA and procedure for publishing it so that VPN user can import it on to the cisco VPN client rather than using any external CA server like from Microsoft CA.

I have followed this link of cisco site

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa81/config/guide/cert_cfg.html#wp1046987

But I don't understand the terms like CN,OU.

Can someone explain me with an example, how do I give these terms.

Thanks,

Archana.

I have this problem too.

Hi Archana,

The ASA's CA is only used for SSL connections, both browser and client type, not for vpn clients:
