I have a customer running CME. They would like to block incoming calls that have caller-ID blocked (shows as 'Private' on the phone). Is there a way to do this on CME, especially without also blocking incoming calls from a no-caller-ID origination? I think I can set up a filter on a null string in the c alling number field, but I suspect that would also block users with no caller ID at their end. Thanks

You are correct. There is no native way in CME to differentiate calls that come with an explicitly blocked CLID.
I may think there could be a way using TCL/IVR, but I'm not sure either.
Sometime however telco has an option so that such calls are rejected at the switch, have you tried asking them ?

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of - I have not pursued the telco angle, but will check it out.
