Hi,

I run a large wlan. however i have a branch site that requires just 1 cisco accesspoint ( i have a spare 1240g ap )

I would like to make this a standalone AP connected to the lan which can manage client authentication and association. It will be connected to cisco poe switch and the site is run by a cisco router.

the laptops will require static addresses.

whats the easiest way to play around with an test a 1240g ap in fat mode ?

also is there any other new ap`s perhaps a 5ghz or n radio device that can be run solo ?

cheers

Phill
