We're building a new data centre from scratch.
Just had a meeting with Cisco and I'm excited to report that initially it looks like were going to start using the Nexus Switches within our Data Centre.
This is a first for me, at the moment we are using a brocade FCIP SAN backend and standard IP 1Gbps network front end.
The proposed solution will consolidate the FCIP SAN, The Network Connection and the out of Band all into one 10Gbps into Unified Ethernet.
Cisco tell me that this is cutting edge technology for SANs and so I though I would see if anyone has any advice on this type of solution.
Particularly on the NS OX software used by the Nexus family.
We will be using Nexus 5000'a and 2000's.
I am a strong IOS Routing/Switching and Security engineer but I'm moving into a new dowmain with the Nexus and Storage Networking in general.
Any advice from the SAN Pro's?
