Sup 720 ROMMON upgrade

Hello, I have to upgrade a 6509 with SUP720. There is a WS-X6724-SFP card on it. I would like to install the 12.2(33) and require a ROMMON upgrade on the 6724 card. Today is installed on SUP720 the 12.2(17d)SXB version. If I upgrade first the IOS will I be able to upgrade the ROMMON of the 6724 later (due to requirements) ? Is better to upgrade the 6724 ROMMON before (can be that new ROMMON is not compatible with old IOS) ?

Hello Helenio,

I may be wrong but I think that all necessary firmware/SW upgrade for linecards is made by supervisor after IOS upgrade.

We moved some mounths ago several C6500 devices in a campus from 12.2.(18)SXF to 12.2(33)SXH2 but we didn't upgrade any rommon in linecards before the IOS upgrade.

The IOS upgrade was needed to manage correctly the 8 10GE linecard
