Hi all, is is possible to stack the c2960 switch? do they stack at theback, or do you need to use the gigastack connectors on the fornt which use up your gbic slots.
please advise

You can't stack 2960 switches. Try looking into 2975 switches, they have stacking capability.

1.Please what do you mean by stacking?
2.Please I encountered a problem connecting 2960G-TCL gigabit ethernet port to 2960-TCL gigabit port, in fact the LEDs on both ports didn't come on.Please what is wrong?

Possible answer to #2, is to use a Crossover cable. You should see link after that.

The only smaller chassis that support true stacking are the 3750 series and the 2975 (L2) series . These use the stacking cables in the back of the chassis to connect everything together.
