This should work by default but you need to press twice the transfer softkey. The first attempt shows the intermidate call ID which is the operator number but the second attempt will give the call control to the PSTN Network which will display the external (PSTN) Caller ID. The following are the steps for a successful blind transfer:

1) Operator receives the call and answers,

2) She presses transfer softkey in order to seize the second line,

3) She dials the extension where the call is going to be transfered

4) She presses again the transfer softkey for the second time to transfer the call to the destination.

Thanks for your reply.

it actually doesn't work. after the internal user connected with the outside caller, shown on the ip phone, still connected with the operator.

so on CME, it is easy to setup the operator DN as blind transfer, looks no easy place to find on CUCM ver5

thanks again

You can change this behavior by going to "Service Parameter --> Transfer On-hook Enabled" and select "true" as the value but this option works only if the operator uses the handset to answer the call and not the softkey. The call will be transfered as soon as she goes on hook.

MK

that option is not "blind transfer", it only means the operator is able to hang up after pressed transfer softkey

thanks again

In the "Consult" Transfer, the PSTN Caller is put on hold while the Transfer is being completed. If configured, MOH wil be played back to the caller.

The "Blind" Transfer is treated like a "Direct" call and the PSTN Caller should receive Ringback tone instead of MOH.

Is the operator pressing transfer softkey twice? This is how my system (CCM 5.1) works

MK

does this involves AC? IPMA?

because the behavior on blind transfer is the moment you press transfer 2nd time the called party will get the calling party number.

we use that and i see for a second the name of the guy that transfers the call and then the calling party number when he finishes the transfer. no config whatsoever required.

what's the whole call flow?
