Exchange 2007 UM with Call Manager 4.2

Has anyone connected CM 4.x to Exchange 2007 UM box. I have successfully done this with CM 7.0, but also need this to work on 4.2.

Everything I have read says 4.x needs a IP Media Gateway...but I found a post on another website saying I could do a direct sip connection with CM 4.2(3)sr3...just like I can with CM 5.x and higher.

Has anyone connected CM 4.2 to an Exchange 2007 UM server for voicemail?

When Cisco CallManager Version 4.x is implemented alone (i.e., directly interfacing) with Exchange Server 2007, certain Exchange Server 2007 functionalities are not supported such as Auto-Attended, MWI, and T.38 fax transport mode. Therefore, Cisco CallManager version 4.x suffers feature limitations when operating with Exchange Server 2007.
