Passing Voice traffic in a PIX Firewall

Hi Guru's,

Can someone help to design a VOIP passing to PIX Firewall. My client is worrying if we will pass the traffic over the Firewall. Appreciate if someone could send me some guildlines or documentation to make the VOIP passes thru PIX smoothly. Do I need to know and consider the software version of IPCC and CM of my client?

Hi!

Yes, you need to consider the SW versions, the ports used can change between them.

Please refer to:

*** Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.0 TCP and UDP Port Usage ***

www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/port/6_0/60plrev1.pdf

The CUCM SRND has a chapter dedicated to Voice security, it can give you more information and it

includes examples too:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/6x/security.html

*** Cisco Unified Contact Center Express Port Utilization Guide, Release 7.0(1) ***

www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_7_0/configuration/guide/uccx70prtuti.pdf

You can search on CCO for similar docs depending on the version you have.
