How to connect 2 networks with different class address

Hi,

I'm studing some network configuration and I need some help:

I've got 2 network configuered as:

Network 1:

DLINK DIR-300 Wireless access point with a IP: 172.16.0.115

One computer (Computer 1) wireless connected to this access point.

Network 2:

Linksys WRT54G Wireless access point with a IP: 192.168.0.1

One computer (Computer 2) wireless connected to this access point.

I would like the Computer 1 be able to connect to the Computer 2.

How can I do it ?

Do I need to add some router between the two networks ?

If yes, which kind of router ?

Hi Davide,

You need a normal router and you also need a so called Wireless LAN Controller.

what do you mean by normal router ? Have you got some reference ?

I've seen one called RVS4000, do you know it ? Do you think it can route a network IP address class B to a class C ?

Hi Davide,

I don't know RVS4000.

All Cisco routers are able to route traffic between any classes of addresses.

Depending on the traffic volume and other features you need, you have to select a router that best suits your needs.
