Hi all, would it be possible to get my router to send an snmp trap when the isdn layer 1 status is down, is there a general setting that will enable all traps, ie snmp-server enable traps ?

Hi Carl

The command :-

snmp-server enable traps linkdown linkup

Should pick this up. You can disable this on an individual interface level with the interface level command :-

no snmp trap link-status

I assume that you have the needed SNMP settings already configured ie

snmp-server host x.x.x.x

snmp-server community RO

logging trap (debugging is useful)

how would i get it to send all snmp traps? woudl i just do snmp server enable traps ?
