Backups failing in LMS 2.6

Answered Question

Has anyone got an error stating " Cannot read schedule info. Please look into the log files". We created a directory in /var/adm, gave the backup directory casuser= owner, group=casusers, and we keep getting this error when trying to schedule weekly backups. Immediate backup works fine.

I have this problem too.

casuser must be able to schedule the backup job; to see if there are jobs scheduled for the user 'casuser' issue 'crontab -l casuer';

typical problems are

/etc/cron.allow exists and casuser is not listed there > add casuser to the list of allowed users in this file

/etc/cron.deny exists and casuser is listed there > remove casuser from the list of denied users

the permission of crontab is other then

-r-sr-xr-x 1 root bin 17796 Aug 18 2008 /usr/bin/crontab

By any chance, do you not have the ability to schedule a CRON job??

from the cli, crontab -l to see if the backup job is resident.
