1841 router with WIC 1ADSL

Pros,

The new 1841 router with the default image c1841-ipbase-mz.124-6.XE3.bin loaded not coming up with ADSL WIC installed on any slot of the router. It keeps on rebooting. Pls see the attached file for the boot sequence.

Even after i loaded with the new image c1841-ipbasek9-mz.124-24.T.bin, the same problem.

What is the work around to solve this issue?

Hello Arumugasamy,

you need to upgrade to an IOS image that supports the ADSL WIC

try with

c1841-ipbasek9-mz.124-15.T8.bin

that FN declares support it

Try to upgreade the IOS to advanceservice 12.4.This image will support the ADSL card with advance security " IOS filter "

I tried 4 ios images. This card i tried with another router with the same problem. But when i used another WIC adsl with this router, it is working. So I believe that the WIC is defective.

With the suspected faulted WIC card, during the bootup, are there any error messages?
