We are in the process of relocating from our existing DC to a new DC. I wish to know whether it would be possible for the network and server resources in both the existing DC and New DC to work in parallel till the resources in the New DC is considered to be stable, thus enabling a zero downtime for the business. If yes, are there any documents which I can refer to make the corresponding plans. I am more concerned in the data flow for the network(swithing and routing)to acheive the above mentioned goals.
What you want to do can be achieved w/ proper planning.
I'm not sure if there's any document for dual DC design though because every case is different.
For starter you can use a GSS to load balance between the two DC's.
