Automatic dialing when a phone goes off-hook

We have some phones in the corridor of a shop which are used by the customers to contact to the operator (hunt group 1090, with two extensions, 1000 and 1001). I would like to configure the phones to dial directly to 1090 (or 1000 if it doesn't work) when the phone goes off-hook. If it is not possible, could I configure a direct access (for example dialing 0) to connect to 1090 or 1000? The CCM version is 5.1(2).

Best regards.

Hi Victor,

The step by step directions in this guide are very good (the principles should carry over nicely) :)

Hope this helps!

I think the best way for u is to use PLAR ( Private Line Autmatic Ringdown ) pointing to your hunt pilot.

Hello, thank you for your response. The problem is that the phone in which I want to configure the automatic dial is an analogue phone attached to a FXS port in a 2851 and MGCP-controlled. So I think I can't configure PLAR in Call Manager (this functionality is for IOS Gateway).

Hi Rob, thank you for the useful information, it is exactly what I need. I tried to do that, but I think it did not work because of partitions and CSS. Now it is working perfectly.

Best regards.
