CRS 4.0.(5)SR2 clustering over WAN

Hi we have a CRS 4.0.(5)SR2 cluster consisting of 1st and 2nd node. The First node is at the head office whereas the second node is at the DR Office. There are around 100 agents in the HO and abt 20 agents at the DR location. Now there is an OPtic fiber connection between the two offices. So when this link goes down, the second node in the DR Office loses herat beat with the first and goes to High Availability and the agents at that location continue with their work. Now will agents at both sites be able to take calls efficiently? If the optical link comes up and the failover is not reverted will this a problem?

The design guides for UCCX state that the two servers should be 'on the same switch'.

What this tells you is that the HA setup is designed to cater for hardware/software failures, but not to allow geographical cluster splits.

You may find that the two servers go Active/Active and when the link is restored the situation isn't cleanly resolved. I've seen this with several clusters.

UCCX can be a little sensitive to WAN failures or loss of connectivity within the cluster or to external dependencies (LDAP/CTI etc).

hi Aaron

Thank you for your Valuable inputs. If such is the case what would be Cisco UCCX Solution for a DR site for an enterprise. If the main site goes down how is it that the operations of the enterprise can be restored with less downtime at the DR site with no data loss ?
