Hi,
I have two FWSM in multiple contexts mode and working as active/standby.
I configured DHCP relay on one context interface (DMZ), using the ASDM graphical interface. When applying the configuration, a failover occured, which led to loss of connectivity between inside and outside for about 20 seconds.
Is it normal that the activation of the DHCP relay function is disruptive ?
More generally, is there an existing list of commands that are not transparently applied in a FWSM ?
Thank you for any comments

1)You cannot enable a DHCP relay agent on an interface that has a DHCP relay server configured for it.
2)The DHCP relay agent works only with external DHCP servers; it will not forward DHCP requests to a FWSM interface configured as a DHCP server.
Before you can enable a DHCP relay agent on an interface, you must have at least one DHCP relay global server or DHCP relay interface server in the configuration.

Hi
I am trying to enable DHCP relay agent with DHCP servers but getting an error message: DHCP server and DHCP relay cannot be configured on FWSM simulaneously.
Any ideas would help....
Many Thanks MJ
