Solved: Ciscoworks 3.1 upgrade or fresh

my customer has purchased: CWLMS-3.1-5KUPK9. Am I able to do a fresh install of 3.1 or must 2.6 be installed first?

Yes you can do a fresh install and if somehow possible this should be the preferred method (in my opinion);

if it is on Windows make sure you do the installation as the local admin and that the TEMP and TMP variables are set to something short (like C:\Windows\Temp) for both the system and the administrator (as whom you are doing the installation);

also disable any antivirus sw during installation.
