"Name" issue

If I have a host of, I would either have to create a name for each host or create an object group since it's lets you create odd masks. I noticed in the ASDM that you have the option to create any mask you want when creating names, and in the list it shows you the name/30. Looking at the name line in the cli, I don't see any difference in the line:

name testing

How is the ASA ASDM able to create this type of config, but I'm not able to see it in the run line. It looks like a standard single host line.

I have this problem too.

Actually, I'm not 100% sure if the ASDM is supposed to allow me to do this. It's very strange.

Never mind; figured it out.

In the ASDM, the name references /30, but it's only a host until it's referenced through an object group. Then it uses the mask that's applied to the object group.
