Can you create a "permanent" meet-me extension....in other words, one that once you build it stays up 24/7/365?

no, all calls are subject to a timer that determines how long they can stay up, by default 720 minutes. i don't have a ccm right now but i'm pretty sure the max value won't be even close to a week, lets not talk about a year. even if it was possible a phone would need to be connected all the time to the meet-me

Where do I find the max value parameter ?

i was able to find a doc i had with the parameter, theoretically it appears it might be possible if you set the parameter to 0

CCM service parameters

Maximum Call Duration Timer :

This parameter specifies the minutes that a call can remain active before Cisco CallManager clears it. A value of zero disables the timer.

This is a required field.

Default: 720.

Unit: min.

Minimum: 0.

Maximum: 35791.

max time is also bigger than i thought, almost 25 days. i'm not sure of the real implications on the server having to keep the meet-me conference up all time for that long, also i don't believe someone has ever tested this. what you can't avoid is having a phone connected permanently to meet-me.

if it disconnects, looses connection, someone resets the HW or SW CFB, sccp communication is lost to HW CFB, and many more will cause it to fall and someone will need to dial back again to activate it. personally i don't see this as a feasible solution.
