Hi,
Can LMS monitor the services like smtp and http? If can, where can I configure it in LMS? Also, if this service fails, can i configure it to send email to notify us? Thanks in advanced!

reymon

Ciscoworks is not meant to do this. It's only meant to manage cisco devices
However IPM allows for monitoring of http and a tcp connect on port 25 could be used to check a SMTP server.
IPM can send a trap if a threshold is passed, but not a mail.
Cheers,
Michel

Hi michel!
Thanks for your response! Monitoring http and tcp connect on port 25 is showing only latency and availability graph. How can lms trigger me if i got problem on this 2 services?

There are thresholds and actions you can set. It's to long ago to be more precise I'm afraid.
I recall I looked for "User-Defined Operation" and threshold in helps files of IPM.
It's not as flexible as with the automated actions in RME though.
Cheers,
Michel
