Upgrading flash on a router?

Is there a way to upgrade flash on a router? I have a router that has 24mb, but the later IOS versions for the same feature set requires 28mb.

Thanks,

John

Errr ... Can you be more specific? What is your router?

If you are using the older generation of routers like the 800, 2600(except the 2690) and 3600, then the only way is for you to acquire/purchase additional flash memory modules.

However, if your router happens to be the 2690 & 3700 series, just get a compact flash (maximum is 2Gb) and point your router to boot the compact flash.

LOL! Yeah, I forgot to post that piece of it. :-)

Well, I found the answer, but it was too late to remove my post. I have an 871, and I have part numbers for the memory.

Thanks!

John

Thanks for the ratings, John. :)

PS: Have you looked at the 861 router?
