Changing port 443 for LMS

Hi,

My issue is During the install, IIS was detected and the setup routine advised me to change the default SSL port because IIS is on the box.

So I chose 4433. However, I have a need to change back to 443. I made the changes to the http.conf file and the services don't fully start. I had to change it back to 4433 to get the services to start. Our biggest issue is we need the traffic to be encrypted and where

we want to access from already allows port 443. So how can I switch back to port 443 and use SSL only to communicate with CiscoWorks?

Thanks

You can use the NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\changeport.exe utility to change the SSL port for LMS. For example:

changeport 443 -s

Once the port is set correctly, you can enable SSL-only mode by going to Common Services > Server > Security > Browser-Server Security Mode Setup.
