Setting up a Secure SIP Trunk on Cisco UCM 6 or 7

Unanswered Question
Mar 23rd, 2009

Today we have Cisco UCM 6 configured with a SIP trunk to Exchange 2007 (for Unified Messaging).

We want to setup a Secure SIP Trunk, but have no idea on how to go about doing this.

Has anyone setup a Secure SIP Trunk and got it working?

How would I setup a Secure SIP Trunk on Cisco UCM 6 (or 7) to some other device (our case Exchange 2007).

Thank you!

I have this problem too.

Thanks MK, but this document explains how to setup a standard non-secure SIP connection not a secure SIP connection.

A have a non-secure SIP connection working, but want to setup a SECURE SIP connection instead.

We just don't know how to do this.

Thank you!

In CCM Administration page, go to

System-->Secure Progile-->SIP Trunk Security Profile. To access the step-by-step configuration page, replace the X.X.X.X in the following address with the IP Address of your CallManager. You will find the step-by-step config.

I personally think Secure SIP/RTP is not supported between CCM and Exchange due to protocol implimentation differences. But you can try it.
