Share the problem.. all you asked was best practices…. Plus his book has great troubleshooting practices. Most likely its an error in setup.

Using CUPS 8.0 and CUCM 7.1.5 with sametime version 8.5.2 connect-client and cisco Click2Dial&presence Plugin cases very high CPU use for several minutes.
