Hello All,
We are in the process of upgrading from CallManager version 4.2 to 7.0. Can anyone please point out the major differences between these two versions both in terms of advantages and disadvantages.
Will rate all helpful posts. Thanks

Hi,
Haven't got a big list of advantages and disadvantages for you, but please check the following on Table 1:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps556/data_sheet_c78-485333.html
Here are some major differences which are not in 4.2 -->
7.0:
- Appliance (switch version on upgrades)
- SIP Support for end-points and other apps.
- Unified Mobility (Single Number reach)
- E.164 + dialing
- Busy Lamp Fields
- Better LDAP integration (synchronization)
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards, Julien.
