BGP support on cisco 6500 switch

Hi,All

Can i use 6500 switch as SP edge router to connect to 2x500 internet links and for full internet routing support?

Hello Sandip,

yes if you use a Sup 720 3BXL or better.

the limit for a C6500 is the signalling plane (routing) the traffic volume is not a concern.

We have two C6500 with sup720 3BXL receiving two full BGP tables each

1GB of ram

I/O Pool Total: 67108864 Used: 14337856 Free: 52771008

We are using following image
