I'm curious if anyone out there has had any experience using the ACE to load balance Lotus Notes traffic. The traffic is TCP 1352 but I'm not sure what the best way is to probe the servers. Would SMTP be the best option? What expect codes would I use?
I'm not sure about your question. I do have a question of my own. Are you currently load balancing Lotus Notes servers, not the web access? Are there any special considerations from either the ACE config or how the servers are configured?
If your are balancing "Lotus Notes protocol: NRPC port 1352" I do not think there is any specific application level probe you can use, the option would be to probe at layer 4, TCP port 1352.
