I'm being asked to provide a comparison between switches and a specifically was asked if the 2960 switch is stackable. It's definitely rackable, but is it stackable?

2960 is not stackable.

2950 can use Gigastack GBIC to do stacking.

3750 can use special stacking cable to do stacking.

Stackable switches are:

Layer 2 - 2975

Layer 3 - 3750

Thank you for such a quick response!!

And thanks for the rating.

Believe me you do not want to use gigastack gbics , it makes it a nightmare to try and trace anything in that stack, it is not a stack like a 3750 or 2975 .

There is a specific model of 2960 which is stackeable.
