cat 6500 Distributed EtherChannel

I have configured an ether channel across two line cards on a cat6500 to connect to 4 NICs on an IBM VM server. For some reason traffic is not follow through the portchannel, but the same configuration works on a C3750.

I also get this message on the cat6500, which I am not sure are linked to the problem I am having.

Mar 26 06:16:07: FEC: pagp_is_idb_in_port_channel: Te1/1 has no subblock

Mar 26 08:06:02: FEC: pagp_switch_is_in_port_channel: Gi11/10 is not part of any agport

I wonder why I am geting the 2nd msg when the port is not configuare to be part of a port channel

Have you tried configuring the etherchannel to use LAcP instead of PAgP?

I have tried all the different combinations. The restriction is on the server side as it uses a vitual switch, it supports Etherchannel only (that is the that works).

C3750's config is as follows;

interface Port-channel3

description ISIS

switchport access vlan 113

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode access

end

!

interface GigabitEthernet3/0/4x

description ISIS

switchport access vlan 113

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode access

speed 100

duplex full

channel-group 3 mode on

end

Port-channel: Po3
