can we put ACL on 2950 switch to block some IP's of some range.
plz explain.

Hello Yogesh,
the answer is no
even if you can define an ACL you cannot find a way to apply it to process user traffic because the device acts as a L2 LAn switch.

Are you thinking about Port-ACL?
Please check this link out!
Note: Apply an ACL only to inbound Layer 2 interfaces.
