This is probably a really silly question. Apologies in advance if i have missed something obvious !
We run Unity 5.0 standalone. Linked to CUCM6.1.
Im struggling to work our exactly *how* i delete or purge the contents of a users voicemail box. I've logged into Unity locally, and looked thru the Exchange settings and located the mailboxes. In here i can see disk space used and messages stored per user. When i right click a user, a 'purge' option presents itself, but i am unable to select this...its greyed out.
Is this even the correct place to be deleting mailbox contents?
Start > Run > Programs > Microsoft Exchange > System Manager > First Admin Group > servers etc
Is there perhaps a Unity Tool Depot addin that is better suited to mailbox purging?

Hi Andy,
To Manage subscriber messages, this is probably an excellent choice;
Message Store Manager
The Cisco Unity Message Store Manager (MSM) allows you to perform several routine message store management tasks with a single tool. MSM Agents, defined to include a selectable set of subscribers, can generate message demographic reports, archive messages, delete messages, or set subscriber properties, all according to configurable schedules.
From the Great Unity Tools;

To purge Mialbox/Subscriber accounts;
From two of the Best, Jeff and Tommer;
Cisco Unity Tools
Bulk Subscriber Delete (works great for "one-ups" as well :)

Hope this helps!

Yeah the purge mailbox option in the Exchange admin is related to permanently deleting the mailbox. Not what your looking for.
You might check out the Message Store Manager utility found in the Tools Depot.
